Food for Thought
Dining at UMBC is as varied as the student population. Whether it’s a quick bite between classes or a four-course meal with friends, there is always something to suit your palette. Plus, we’re big on sustainability here, with recycling and composting stations, and we have great options for vegetarians and vegans.
True Grit’s, the campus dining hall, is all you care to eat dining at its finest. It features a wide selection of entrees, made-to-order selections, Italian offerings, grilled selections, sandwich creations, soups, salad bar, Kosher offerings, theme nights, and much more.
The Commons offers a variety of food, including pizza, pasta, barbecue, hot sandwiches, southwestern cuisine, deli subs/sandwiches, burgers, Chinese cuisine, and salads. Plus, you can swing by Dunkin’ Donuts for a quick cup of coffee or a sweet treat between classes.
The Coffee Shoppe serves coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, soup, hoagies, sandwiches, and wraps. We also feature Chik-fil-A and Starbucks in the University Center!
All dining facilities on campus take meal plans, flex dollars, cash or debit/credit cards.
