Student attendees will also have the chance to attend a mock course led by our innovative faculty, while guests can learn helpful college application and admissions tips from our staff.

*Please note that this event is for prospective first-year students only. Prospective transfer students are encouraged to join us at the October 25th Retriever Day and/or our November 13th Transfer Open House.

Virtual Black & Gold Information Session and Student Panel

Can’t make it to campus? No problem; we’ll bring #RetrieverNation to you!

We invite you and any guests to join us for a virtual information session and student panel from the comfort of home or work. A member of our admissions team will share information on academics, student life, career outcomes, scholarships, the application process, and more, while current students will discuss their experiences at UMBC and what makes them proud to be a Retriever. There will be ample time during and after the presentation for Q&A, and next steps will be provided for all attendees. A link to the virtual meeting will be shared upon successful registration.

Retriever Roadmap: Transfer Open House

It’s never too early to think about transferring! Join UMBC’s transfer admissions team, campus support staff, and current students as we help provide you with a roadmap to becoming a Retriever – whenever that may be for you.

Attendees will be able to learn more about the application process, explore financial aid and scholarship opportunities, connect with academic departments and co-curricular offices, and review how their credits may transfer to their UMBC degree. Optional campus tours will also be provided.

Parking: Complimentary parking will be available. Details will be sent upon registration.

Event Check-In: Check-in will take place in the Fine Arts Building Recital Hall lobby. There will be signage and staff present to guide you to the event, a 5 minute walk from the lot. If you’d like to take a pre-event student-led campus tour, please arrive to the Recital Hall lobby by 3:00 p.m. If you are not interested in the pre-event tour, please aim to arrive at 3:45 p.m., as the event welcome will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m.

Food: Light refreshments will be provided for attendees during the event.

We look forward to welcoming you to campus soon!
