Interested in studying a visual or performing arts field at UMBC? This custom experience will allow you to learn more about the arts majors and minors offered, our exclusive Linehan Artist Scholars Program, and how to apply – and will be capped by a student-led tour of relevant campus spaces.*

This event is designed to complement our more general Black & Gold information sessions and campus tours (separate registration required), but can also be completed as a standalone experience.

Dance Visit Day

The UMBC Dance Department is pleased to invite high school juniors interested in studying dance in college to visit campus. Come and take classes taught by our faculty and meet up with our current dance students. It is a day where you can find out about our programs, scholarships, and other opportunities.

UMBC offers a B.A. in Dance and a Minor in Dance. Many of our students have a second major or minor. Some are enrolled in a UMBC pre-professional or pre-med program, or are pursuing certification in dance education, or are enrolled in a certificate program in another discipline.

Our graduates go on to performing careers that include professional dance companies, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, national touring companies, and Disney; teaching careers in private dance studios, public education, colleges, and universities; related professions, including physical therapy, arts management, arts advocacy, and much more.
