Retriever Day 2025

Join us on campus to find out what it means to be a Retriever! Attendees will learn about the first-year or transfer admissions process, financial aid and scholarships, campus resources and student organizations, the Honors College and Scholars Programs, and more. You will also have the chance to connect with Deans and faculty, tour campus with current students, and explore your next steps.

Dance Visit Day

The UMBC Dance Department is pleased to invite high school juniors interested in studying dance in college to visit campus. Come and take classes taught by our faculty and meet up with our current dance students. It is a day where you can find out about our programs, scholarships, and other opportunities.

Department of Music Honors Showcase

The Department of Music presents the Honors Showcase, featuring students selected by audition to present their creative work. Admission is free and open to the public; no reservation required.

Spring 2025 Prospective Theatre Student Visit Day

Join us on campus to experience life a UMBC Theatre Major!

Included in the day:

•An information session with Eve Muson, Chair of Theatre Department.

•An exclusive backstage tour of our facilities in the Performing Arts and Humanities Building led by Professor Adam Mendelson.

•FREE ticket(s) to that day’s 2pm performance of John Proctor is the Villain by Kimberly Belflower.

•A talkback with the cast of John Proctor is the Villain post show.

Parents and High School Teachers are welcome and encouraged to join for all or part of the day.

Please Note: Our in-person BFA Acting Auditions will be held in the morning on this date. You’re encouraged to audition and then stick around to join us for Prospective Student Day events!

UMBC Guitar Fest

The UMBC Department of Music invites you to an exciting day of immersion into the diverse world of guitar playing!

This event is FREE and open to all guitar players 8th grade and up, friends, family, and colleagues!

UMBC Brass Day

The UMBC Department of Music invites you to the 2025 Annual UMBC Brass Day!

This event is FREE and open to all brass players, friends, family, and colleagues.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet brass faculty, tour our facilities, attend masterclasses, and perform with the brass faculty and current UMBC students in the incredible Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall!

There will be plenty of music, food, fun, and all things brass!

UMBC Woodwind Day

The UMBC Department of Music invites prospective students to participate in the 2024 Annual UMBC Woodwind Day! This event is FREE and open to all flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon players, friends, family, and colleagues.

Throughout the day, participants can meet and perform with our faculty, perform in or attend master classes, and get a head start on their honors ensemble audition music. This is a terrific opportunity to meet the woodwind faculty of UMBC! We look forward to having you with us for a day of music, food, fun, and all things woodwinds!
